G. Greene completed renovations to over 29,000 S/F of office space at Harvard Medical School's 641-643 Huntington Avenue locations. The wood framed masonry façade was fully restored with new windows as well as a comprehensive upgrade to the entire roofing system. In addition, new mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems were added throughout the space. The interior of the building received a complete fit-out to all of the existing office spaces which will now be occupied by the Department of Social Medicine. G. Greene also installed an 8-stop elevator that will provide service in both buildings. Site improvements were also made around the exterior of the building, including new paving and landscaping.

 

This project has been designated as LEED Gold Certified under the United States Green Building Council's rating system. By using highly energy efficient equipment, special lighting densities, lumber harvested from FSC forests, low VOC product and other recycled products, G. Greene met the certification credit requirements in order to achieve the Gold status.
